It really was mind-boggling. I mean, these are two different contexts within their respective games, but I couldn’t help but think back on the Eagles-Ravens game back in 2016 and Doug went for two at the end of the game to try to win it instead of going to overtime. They didn’t convert, but I loved the call because of the mentality and culture it instilled. Watching the Eagles turtle up and essentially play for the tie against the Bengals was just tough to stomach

Our players get fuckin fired up that he goes for it at the end of games. Best way to overcome fear being triggered in certain situations is exposure therapy. He does it early and often so that when Trevor HAS to convert fourth down or the defense HAS to get a stop to win a playoff game, they will eventually handle it as calmly as they operate in practice because they do it all the time.

It’s amazing we still mourn the incident and not the actual war we conducted in response, that led to many times more deaths and destabilized the world so hard that we are still seeing long term consequences of that today, economically and politically
