I feel better now lol, I’ve only added 21 so far this year! Probably 28 with pre-orders.

 

Looks like I’m at about 30 with 10 or so preorders still out there. Those of you with over a hundred make me feel better about that number.

Suddenly feeling really good about my total being 4 with two preorders outstanding. I feel like I back out of a lot due to sticker shock between price and shipping, so maybe it feels like I get to check out and bail a lot making think that number would be higher.

Don't know if this is old but MusicHarbor just told me Manchester Orchestra covered Jimmy's Table For Glasses and it's pretty dope. Looks like Jimmy covered one of their songs too.

 

I don't feel quite as bad. Until I realize 100ish of mine have come since the beginning of April.

The band and album are amazing and I am very jealous right now... Where did you buy it? I've been looking at prices but it looks like I'll be dropping at least $100 Canadian to own it!

 

they had a preorder on CD Japan a few months back. It cost $30 USD for the record, $30 USD to ship. From Japan to my front door it only took about 3 days for the delivery which was great

 

Some of you are wild. I've only bought 8 records this year, all of which were pre orders. I haven't stepped in a record shop in over a year probably.

 

I just purchased a bootleg of a rap album from 2016. Had seen it before in stores but not for that price. I doubt I'll play it that much and unfortunately, the spine doesn't have the name of the album.

 

I went to a Newbury Comics for the first time yesterday, and my wallet was disappointed to find copies of St. Vincent's Masseduction and Fountains Of Wayne's Out-Of-State Plates (plus Carly Rae Jepsen's Tug Of War on clearance).

Wild that I'm pretty sure I know exactly which one you're talking about. I've seen boots of it before but not nearly as much as I'd expect.

 

TLOP. I've seen them online and in person for over $50. This was under $40 so I had to get it. They also had Cruel Summer but I didn't feel a big need on that one.

I would not hold your breath on more Ocean Avenues coming, apparently that one tiny pressing was extremely difficult to happen so much so to discourage more

 

Probably the same issue with Paper Walls then too, right?

why do record labels not want more $$$$?

 

I don't think they see the effort from it as worth the cost and also its such a tiny amount of money for a major label/or at least they seem to think it is
