Honestly, it would be kind of fun for a band to announce a whole arena/amphitheater tour the day before it’s supposed to start just to see the reaction

Where in NYC were they supposed to play?

The design of this poster is hilarious to me. I love that they photoshopped a shot of the opener like he's the fifth member of Nickelback

By looking at the cities on this touring he’s a BIG draw. The south and Midwest love their butt rock-adjacent country music.

Totally agree, country is such a foreign genre to me (outside Kacey and Orville). It’s interesting how many people transition into fans of country music in their 30s.

Lyrics are probably more relatable, generally speaking, as I imagine they focus more on the challenges of middle age vs, like, the person you have a crush on not sharing the same feelings for you.

HA that's surprising, Long Island LOVES butt rock. Probably would've been better off booking Jones Beach.

So many former "scene" band members move to Nashville and write/perform for county musicians. I have so many friends I used to watch play breakdowns that are now writing about trucks lol

Cash those checks though, it's hard to make a career in music.

I think, and maybe I'm off base, but with Brantley Gilbert, it seems like it'll do well in country markets. I unironically really like Nickleback (I know... I know...) but tickets are sold out and outrageous so I'll pass. Plus I HATE that put a Roley on a redneck song from Gilbert so I'd be skipping him anyway.

No need to apologize for unironically liking Nickelback! I've always had a soft spot for them, I remember this girl I was into in 2000 turned me onto them via "Leader Of Men" which I still think is a great song.

If I had to pick a job in the music industry, it would totally be the songwriter-for-hire role (if I had the talent). You can make good $ w/publishing and don't have to deal with the touring/fame/social media aspect at all.

Oh I don't blame them at all, I'm stoked for them to be making a career making music  it's just objectively hilarious to see people I used to book heavy shows for winning awards for writing Jelly Roll & Brantley Gilbert songs, I'm all the way here for it

Yeah Nashville is becoming a hotspot for a lot of emo/pop punk musicians. Even the ones that aren’t doing country. Chad Gilbert and Ryan Key come to mind immediately

Idk how many people (if any) remember Jimmy Robbins but he lives in Nashville and has written a few hits as well
