Almost got an MIP in college. Got breathalyzed but they just gave the ticket to the person who bought us the alcohol so we just chipped in and paid it.

There was a good article a day or two ago...and the answer is basically none of the players knew that was the rule.

My brother got, no lie, the worst DUI I've ever seen. He had an underage drinking charge from a year or so prior, but after having like a beer or two in the afternoon, he drove his friends to go pick up beer for the evening. His friends were 21, but, I believe he was 3 months short of his 21st birthday. Cop pulled him over for like 28 in a 25 (think they saw him drive away from the liquor store and thought they were buying for an underage kid or something). He blew a .03...which at the time, the legal limit for underage was .02. So he got his 2nd underage (year suspension of license) and a DUI (3 months). All of which doesnt start until you surrender your license and they process it...so, basically a year and a half.

I always thought it was a story he invented to cover a legit DUI...but when I visited his college, that story got re-told verbatim by one of his buddies as a cautionary tale for why only sober people go for beer runs

 

Funny enough, that meant I had to drive to Warped Tour, so he was in the passenger seat when I got popped on the PA Turnpike doing 75 in a 55 (and only because I had seen the cop had I slowed down from like 85)...and I got "failure to obey a traffic device" or some odd wording and got what was functionally a $50 warning.

WHat people are missing is that the Chiefs asked nicely and Hurts appreciated that and said it was okay to score those points
