His explanation actually does make sense. I’ve seen a lot of these songs performed live the way he’s presenting them here way more than I’ve seen them as their original versions. Kind of cool to have an official release that matches that energy.

So is this band is just Craig plus hired hands now? Seeing them for WWWY this year. Surprised we haven't hear of any other Chiodos shows surrounding that festival.

 

Other than Craig, I don't believe it's been confirmed who else will be involved in the reunion.

 

Yeah there's no word who is part of this reunion, but I would be pretty shocked if the rest of the band makes it

 

For the longest time a part of me wanted Brandon to come back lol, I really do fuck with Illuminaudio although that's apparently a hot take

 

As much as I enjoy Craig, Illuminaudio is easily my favorite album from Chiodos. I absolutely love the tone and energy of that album. Brandon did such a great job.

 

I don't think it's that much of a hot take. All's Well that Ends Well is my favorite, probably just due to nostalgia, but I think Illuminaudio is their best. It's the only other album of theirs I go back to.

 

Definitely not a hot take at all.

 

The biggest letdown for them is production and mixing of the time.

 

I feel like the last time I saw Illuminaudio be mentioned it was seen harshly compared to Bone Palace Ballet and All's Well, glad that it has some other fans too!

Bone Palace Ballet is my favorite but Illuminaudio is right behind it. Great album. BPB was just super influential to me and was my gateway into post hardcore

Never really cared for illuminaudio outside of a few songs but I agree it’s not really a hot take, at least not around here. I’d probably still call BPB my favorite but it admittedly sounds just as dated as anything else from that era. FWIW I still think Devil and the last DRUGS release were wildly underrated and came out too late.

 

Brandon's vocals are just so... boring and faceless, I don't understand the appeal, I've heard that album so many times and still can't recall what he sounds like.

Oh I definitely disagree lol, love a bunch of the choruses and melodies on the album
