Houston Calls have shared the demo for “Drive Time Radio” on all streaming platforms. This demo comes from the End of an Error sessions in 2007. Two random facts about this song? The song was performed once at Bamboozle 2007, and the lyrics “Where Would We Be Without The Radio?” appeared on the band’s only Hot Topic exclusive shirt.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it

A Collection of Short Stories is still an absolute no-skip album. This is a nice surprise

Agreed; I was able to catch them in a small venue a couple times when they were touring on that record and they were great. End of an Error felt like the exact same album except completely watered down, lacking in memorable hooks, and forgettable.

This song is nice but basically the same thing, sounds like a lesser version of a song off of A Collection.

Haha and that prechorus is a note for note ripoff of Simple Plan's prechorus on "I'd Do Anything".

i truly believe that if drive thru records had put even a quarter of the amount of money they put into
Houston Calls that they did Socratic l, Houston Calls would have BLOWN UP.
DTR gave Socratic Mark Hoppus to produce
their follow up LP, which pretty much flopped…..I have had the honor of hearing different mixes and other tracks from what COULD have been on then “The End Od An Error,” and I can say without a doubt they blew away ANY of the Socratic tracks. Houston Calls was left with a very small
budget to find and fund a producer as well as have money to support the record. It seemed as if DTR was putting all their eggs in the Socratic basket and that sorta backfired.

Houston Calls called Producer: Mark Weinberg to man the birds.
    I hadn’t heard any of
    his work before
this. Shortly after, the band began having some internal
member changes and that imo began the downfall of one of my favorite bands.
I still speak to some of
the members from time time to time and i’d you are in the East Orange end Of Jersey go
check out Bagels By Jarrett he is a
mad scientist in the kitchen and is/was the bands bassist. The dude literally has a new menu daily……everything from bagels and pizzas to lobster ravioli and an exact replica of Ma& DonLd$ chicken nuggies (gotta be safe what to call his items hahaha)https://bagelsbyjarrett.com/location

I will end this little rant and just say how amazing these guys truly are. i did two interviews with them and literally they were the most fun and overall hilarious conversations i’ve ever had with a band….. and i conducted quite a few interviews back in my day!

I just pray that since this show is so far away from me that they find a way to stream it.

Catchy tune. Never got into the second album, but A Collection of Short Stories is still a banger.

Loved this band back in the day, glad I got to see them live once with Valencia and Alien vs Predator.

Agreed. Will be doing an overnight trip to NJ next week to see them lol.
I liked a number of tracks on The End of an Error, in particular the first half, but I agree it wasn't as good as the debut. "I Fancy Abroad" is one of my favorite tracks by them.

Saw them last night and for not playing a show in 14 years they sounded very tight. Was a Little more drunk then I would have liked to have been but I think they played every song off a collection of short stories except a line in the sand. If anyone has or remembers the setlist and can post for me that be great! Even played Seattle red eye and conversations with the wind.
