Haven’t heard much about the new record at all in the last few weeks

 

Not sure if this means anything but their twitter bio says 8.1 now.

 

with the preview of CSWS songs the other day is 8.1 potentially a re-recording of that? they had made some hints in the past about going into the studio to write their "first record"

 

I thought they were gonna re-record Black and White so they can have the rights and re-release on vinyl…

 

i think they are doing that too. but they announced that would be 2024

 

I’m surprised that Warner gave up the rights for this cause that was what they always alluded was the issue.

 

If you re-record you don’t have to go that route, that’s why they are doing it. The amount to pay to re-record will be way less than what they will profit…

 

Well that's why they are re-recording it though right? Warner owns the masters not the songs themselves. It's exactly what Taylor did

Same reason some bands “re-record” songs for their greatest hits album. They can get the new versions streaming and can make more money from them.

Today’s announcement was that they’ll be playing Forever Halloween in full at the 8123 fest pre show.

 

Their social media profile has been a different color scheme each day. Todays is blue. Curious if something American Candy related is happening..

Curious if that’s the same tape they’ve mailed out to some fans.

 

After tasting some success with Sticky and loved you a little, I’m curious if they are going to really go for it with this record. I could see them making a really great indie/alternative record and breaking free from this scene. Not sure if that’s what their after though based on still doing sad summer fest

I dug the last record but with only 10 songs, you can’t really afford any misses and there’s at least a couple songs that do nothing for me

 

I feel like they have mostly been firing on all cylinders since American Candy.

 

Looks like a bunch of people got a cassette tape recently
