Right, isn't making an average of something Algebra? I find myself doing that pretty often

 

Now things like calculus & statistics, that I get. It’s helpful to understand but definitely not necessary.

And trigonometry is some bullshit I do not know why they teach anyone who isn’t an engineer or architect trig lol. Calculus and stats have applications in real life context but I can’t imagine ever needing to know what the Cosine of something is

But algebra is a really basic everyday skill

 

I’ve got 2 math classes ahead of me for my degree and I’m super not looking forward to it. They’re “easy” classes in terms on math but it might just kill me

 

I mean murph doesn’t know how to think so it is plausible

 

Definitely a topic where bad teachers make people biased against what is actually a very useful concept
