Fucking shitheads don't even know why they're swinging the bats

They're attempting to implement the cancel culture at me!

 

This shit right here is why the term "cancel" is only acceptable when referring to your favorite show getting axed by Netflix, or what gyms that take your money every month make it impossible for you to do to your membership without an act of Congress and a blood sacrifice.

The term "woke" should never be used. Ever.

 

Our AC which was like 20+ years old finally crapped out. It's supposed to be 91 degrees here on Friday so that's gonna be a miserable day.

We might be able to get a heat pump installed as a replacement, try and take advantage of that heat pump tax credit from Uncle Joe. We won't qualify for the full credit unfortunately (means testing!) but I think we'd qualify for 50% of the cost of the pump. If that's less then or relatively equal to the price of just a new AC unit, perhaps we will go pump.

i love summer but yeah the hot days are brutal...and been getting worse the last 10ish years thanks to climate change. The mid-atlantic humidity is starting to feel like the Deep South humidty

 

alternatively both words can be used but only by the people who know what they actually mean, the problem is slang goes through something like that telephone game and loses all meaning haha

 

"Woke up" is okay, as in "I woke up this morning." - just "woke" is when it is not okay.

 

Woke is a legitimate word, it was co-opted.

I don't get why execs aren't thrilled to be able to sell insanely expensive real estate and would rather stuff a bunch of miserable people inside instead

 

My office just decided to force us back in two days a week starting in September and I'm pissed. I actually like going in occasionally, but don't mandate it.
