Feel like the Cowboys game is a weird one to prove how clutch Trevor is when he fumbled the ball with about 1:30 left in the fourth and the Jags down 3, then the defense forced the Cowboys to punt, the Jags kicked a field goal to go to overtime, then the Jags went three and out, and the defense got a miraculous pick six to win the game

 

The cowboys & ravens games comebacks were legit when it mattered, but that fumble was really bad. Go down dude. Obviously the chargers game is what stands out, but Lawrence was doing that down the stretch of the regular season and was nails.

And if Agnew didn’t fumble in the Chiefs game there was a path to do it again

Right, but the entire premise of the discussion is about performance in two-minute drills and I’m saying that Trevor almost lost them the Cowboys game with a fumble and his defense and kicker bailed him out, then his defense bailed him out again after going three and out to start overtime

 

He fumbled at the beginning of the Ravens comeback drive too and we almost lost right there but we didn’t and he got it done throwing. Thank you Luke Fortner for falling on that one lol. Lawrence was on FIRE after that and had 3 throws with a low chance of completion in a row to finish it off

 

Yeah I def remember that game wrong haha, I just remember being hyped they won and he was great most of game. But now remembering that fumble was BAD

 

Trevor’s ball protection is a concern to me

 

I was watching film breakdown of his game against the Chiefs in the playoffs and he’s very lucky he only threw one bad pick in that game

 

Not really about past performance though. It’s who would you take moving forward. Coming back from multiple scores down in 3 separate games, obviously it was a team effort and wasn’t ALL Trevor, but the Cowboys scored 34 points in regulation, so I don’t see that as the defense wholly bailing Trevor out… he still brought us within range of winning after being down 3 scores.

and comeback drives are ugly! Shit happens. It’s not always “QB is perfect and throws touchdown”. Sometimes it’s “Brady had what for sure looked like a fumble but a weird technicality kept them alive and Vinatieri made an unlikely field goal in the snow after the Raiders defense actually disrupted Brady. Doesn’t make that game any less a part of Brady’s legacy.

But what holds more weight to me is TLaw did it throwing to guys who were on the fantasy waiver wire the year before, and he did it against playoff teams. Gotta be that much more perfect when you don’t have a dominant receiver

 

Wow Trevor Lawrence sounds so cool, I wish he was real

 

If you can guarantee me that Trevor is gonna stop making stupid decisions with the football and learn how to grip that thing and protect it, then yeah I’m taking Trevor. Until then, I’m just going off of the information I’ve been provided.

The last thing I’ll say about the Cowboys game is this. I never praised how the defense performed overall in the game. I’m merely speaking about how, in a vacuum, they bailed out Trevor twice late in the fourth and in overtime because, again, the entire premise of the discussion was about QB play in the two-minute drill and you posted a picture that included that game when trying to point out how clutch Trevor was later in the year. Late in that game, Trevor was most certainly not clutch

Here I am hoping Trevor cleans up his decision making and ball protection when he got an upgrade at WR in the same offseason as he got an arguable downgrade at OL

 

Im not worried about interceptions. Asante Samuel Jr had a hell of a game but in the 8 weeks before that Trevor had only thrown two picks.

I’m slightly worried about the fumbles, but 4 of them happened in a rain game on the road against the Super Bowl team that led the league in sacks… And he only got sacked 27 times (literally half - 13 of them - against PHI , BAL, and KC, actually) despite our offensive line being ranked 31st in past block win rate, so guys aren’t getting a whole lot of chances to hit him in the first place.

 

Walker is an upgrade from Cam. Anton is a downgrade from Jawaan but he's also a better prospect than Jawaan.

 

I think Justin Herbert may be better than Tua, Trevor Lawrence and Burrow.

Only throwing two picks is cool and all, but I’d also like to see throws he made that we’re almost picks because every QB has em. Jalen Hurts was praised for his good decision making throwing the football, but I’ll be the first to tell you he made some bold throws that could have easily been picked off, some of which he got bailed out on because AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are just those dudes
