I hope they’re all still doing it in august so I can draft him late 3rd round/4th as my RB2 and be happy

 

What even is the issue that everyone is going bananas over a guy whose team has explicitly stated they want to use as part of a committee?

 

If that’s true then they’re underestimating how big of a factor Tank Bigsby is also gonna be

if anything I think Etienne’s fantasy value either plateaued or went down. Both Baalke AND Pederson are big RBBC guys and even though Etienne is clearly our RB1, Bigsby’s getting at least 100 touches this year and probably more in year 2

 

It wasn’t Doug P who wanted Etienne as his primary speed weapon, it was Meyer. I’m sure Pederson appreciates the hell out of Etienne but he’s not a feature-RB style of coach

just realized Twitter isn’t saying Etienne is gonna explode, they’re saying what I’m saying lol

@Donnie Ruth I don’t think Twitter saying this means Etienne ain’t gonna be a RB2. He’ll still produce at that level. Just don’t look at him as an every week slam dunk. Third / fourth round is exactly where he went last year, which aligns with my opinion that he’ll probably plateau

The argument is “will Etienne be an RB1 in fantasy” and many people say yes and many say no due to Tank & committee. And it has taken up my entire Twitter feed and is obnoxious

 

Etienne is going to become the fantasy community’s new Miles Sanders

 

It really depends how you define “RB1.” If an RB1 is a “feature back” that you draft in the top 20-25 picks then Etienne’s probably more of an RB2 and drafting him that high would be a reach. But if an RB1 is just a lead back then yeah he might be a low-end RB1

 

I swear, I follow about five fantasy analysts and a majority of the content I see on my Twitter feed is from @CarpetElf arguing in the mentions of a bunch of nobodies or dynasty dorks and I could have sworn when I unfollowed a bunch of fantasy dudes I was going to see less of that

 

Nobody defines RB1 in fantasy as the latter lol

Doug P has ALWAYS been a coach who rotates RBs… remember Spencer Ware, Knile Davis, and Charcandrick West in KC? Remember Boston Scott, Chris Clement, Darren Sproles in Philly? Tbh Doug likes RB3s more than anyone except Kyle Shanahan lol.

he’s already started to set up the same thing here. Last year our backup RBs were so fucking bad they would ruin drives when we gave them the ball… but this year it’s different. Bigsby is a very solid RB prospect and D’Ernest Johnson had 100 yard games with the fuckin Browns last year when Chubb went down. We’re gonna share the rock.

 

If I didn’t use the “for you” tab last night, I wouldn’t have seen Aaron Rodgers dancing to Style like he’s a youth pastor

 

Idk some people still considered Zeke Elliott an RB1 last year even though Pollard… outshined him lol

 

People drafted Javonte Williams as an RB1 as well and he was also more of a lead back than a feature back before he got hurt

 

RB1 is just to me: “top 12 RB in fantasy scoring” and I think he’ll give you that occasionally. And if he doesn’t, it’s not like that’s where he’ll be drafted anyways.

I’ll gladly take him in round 3/4 since that’s where he’s going and could be my RB2

Good explosive players in committees are still good options. Kamara/Pollard to name some recent examples.
