Kevin made Mike manager and “retired” Walt (I forget the term, you still get paid and keep your benefits but don’t work for the company anymore). The guys kept recording out of the new Stash for a while and recently rented out a new office space. I’m sure Mike fired Gettim, he was pretty open about not liking him. Stuff between Walt and Mike seemed amicable enough in public but who knows.

 

They now both work for TESD basically

 

All this is based on no facts whatsoever.

I always just assumed that the shops business was declining and Walt made enough from Patreon to leave and focus on that fully. So it made logical sense to move Mike into that role and not have someone loose their job.

Git em, I love the guy as a character but he was protected by Walt. Why would Mike let him work on TESD during stash time etc.

However, I read that mikes wife is now the assistant manager at the stash. Also apparently she now co hosts Mike and Mings podcast.

i guess one thing I picked up in the pod re the Mike and rob Bruce punch is that Walt said “misplaced loyalty” towards Mike.

 

I do not think they are fighting or that anything weird went on. I just think they aren't that close now that they don't work together. As far as the Stash goes, I think Iain hit the nail on the head.

 

Last weeks “all about Frank” episode is so fucking good. Just shows that the pod is among the best when they aren’t complaining about the news or “PC” shit

 

Bought tickets to Clerks 3 last night and it made me think about the boys. I’m traveling up the east coast this weekend so I popped on episode 500 and I am completely hooked again

i can’t believe Bry is married, that women is going to be miserable after a couple years

 

Yeah I dropped the show for a while because Bry became insufferable, but it’s gotten less political and it’s pretty enjoyable for the most part. He still regurgitates some bullshit conservative nonsense but they seem to blow past it.

Walt just fucking rules. Love that guy

 

Oh god, i’m gonna go through the 400s after i run through the 500s but hearing Bryan conservative politics sounds awful. Is he a full blown Trump supporter or just a ‘everyone is so sensitive’ type of dude?


And yes, Walt is the singular reason I love the show, it felt great hearing his laugh again. 501 was a space monkeys show and there was no fuckin way I was listening to that.

it’s seldom enough that I can just roll my eyes and still listen, but he kind of sucks

 

I’ve not liked Bryan for a long time but he is entertaining, he has some funny one liners out of no where. He’s a fucking asshole though.

 

At least Bryan has really toned that down, they rarely talk about stuff like that anymore. TESD has actually mostly been in top form lately. 542 had an all-time bit.

 

Also about Bryan getting married: the best thing about that is that I am pretty sure that Bry literally just married his stalker

 

I’ve listened to about 8 episodes during this ride and have been laughing a lot, Bryan is definitely toned down and thank god the fuckin guy believes in getting vaccinated at least.

How long ago did Walt retire from the Stash?

 

Lmao this tracks. More than double her age, I’d imagine there are episodes where this is heavily discussed. Im gonna move back to 400 after I catch up.

 

I am not sure anymore, a few months after the move of the Stash, and then they also left the Stash as a location for TESD

 

There is an episode where they tell the story, but I have no idea which, or even if it was Patreon, but I think it was a regular episode

 

I still enjoy TESD. It’s maybe not as a far up my “must listen to” when they come out at the moment. Usually do a few episode catch up.

I thought the tribute episode to Rob Bruce was actually a really nice episode for someone who is a controversial character in the tesd universe. I think Walt described himself as having misplaced loyalty to Mike in that situation.

I think now they no longer are really associated with the Stash it has lost a solid source of great stories from Walt. Might just be me there.

So on the most recent ep Bryan (who continues to spout bullshit anti PC right wing nonsense) was bitching about how hell never call someone “they/them” (even fundamentally misunderstanding grammar in addition to his transphobic nonsense) and an NJ newspaper wrote an article about it, they actually went back and edited that part out of the episode. And they haven’t released an episode in over two weeks (they had been weekly for a while).

I think Q has Covid which they may say is the reason.

 

They do a lot of episodes without Q, or he’ll be on zoom. I don’t think that’s it.

I don’t know, I wish/hope they would genuinely push back on Bry for all this shit. He just fucking sucks and ruins the show.

 

Also now that Bry’s shit is getting actual news coverage, I have to assume Tru wouldn’t be happy with the star on Impractical Jokers being on a podcast with a dude spouting transphobic and honophobic shit
