But the details of that were pretty key. He included the lavender and the name 'Wonder Kid' which Will had put on the jersey for Nate, acknowledging two things that he really bit Will's head off about. I'm sure he'll say a sorry of some sort when they see each other again and it'll be a lot more believable than if he just said sorry face to face right away without any supporting action

That is true, but pretty much every event Dave described was not a comedic scene, it was meant to be perceived as mean.

I don’t hate Nate, but I do think he just kind of sucks, but don’t we all at times?
