but I can easily outsmoke everyone here so different strokes lol. I haven't gotten "too high" in like a decade. Usually money / diminishing returns / tolerance going up too much is what slows me down.

As I've gotten older I've gotten a lot better at being content with one bowl or not finishing one, even though i always COULD smoke more, it just is more satisfying and I appreciate it more when I'm not smoking to reach a certain "threshold"

Also I have finally started the process of researching every small to mid size local venue and documenting which shows I'd fit best on so I can start cold emailing them for dates.

I still have work to do in Baltimore cause I don't know as many people up here, but I've played 4 shows in DC so far and ALL of them sold the fuck out. Granted, 3 were house shows with arbitrary capacity limits - but there were 70+ people at all four shows and my act accounted for at least half of the tickets at the two most recent shows (@ The Pocket and @ Potomac House).

Selling out The Pocket especially is huge cause that's a stepping stone to slightly bigger spots like DC9 and Songbyrd. I have the support of an entire musicians discord in DC, have established a residency at 4 different open mics there, and even got to open for Emperor X so I think that's a pretty solid collection of things I've done since the pandemic (plus my new music video and my EP) to start getting booked the hard way again.

I don’t see any way a team trades a top ten pick for Kyler with his contract and injury history, but I could definitely see a mid/late first or a conditional second that could become a first.

Also, speaking of the Bucs, I didn’t realize that they hired Dave Canales to be their new OC. He spent a lot of time in Seattle as a WR coach, QB coach, and pats game coordinator. Notably was Geno Smith’s QB coach last year.

There was one night where a couple friends and me all each had 12 shots and 5 margaritas and somehow I was able to get us back to where we were staying (by navigating the Uber driver not personally driving)

 

For me it depends what we’re drinking. Beer? I’m porked. Maybe one or two. Rum and Diet or Long Island Iced Teas? I’m good to go allllll night lol

 

I only drink a handful of times per year, but when I do it’s basically a one way ticket to blackout city. I’m not into the casual beer or two.

I used to go around the tailgates at ravens games challenging opposing fans to shotgun races and my cousin would videotape for a YouTube channel. That was fun.

 

Binge drinking is like roller coasters to me, the thrill is NOT worth the upset stomach

I usually drink for a buzz and maybe a light tipsy effect. Like, I do drink often but it’s almost always limited to 2 beers, maybe 3 if I’m there a long time.

It’s very situational for me. Did I enjoy being drunk in college and shortly after, yeah. Did I enjoy getting drunk with @CarpetElf when we lived in the thick of Atlanta together? Hell yeah we had a blast. Will I get drunk at a wedding or birthday party or other huge celebration for a close friend? Maybe, if the mood is right.

Generally though if I don’t have a special social reason to be drinking a lot, that phase of my life is over. Once you get into the “losing control of your body / brain” phase it stops being fun for me and I start dreading how dehydrated and drained I’m gonna feel the next day

From what I saw, it’s against the Air Force / Army game (or something like that). All they have to do that prove that a football team usage of the word commander is different than the name of a single college football game. So… probably nothing. Though funny.
