I like the Raiders as a dark horse. They don’t have the worst roster in the league but that FO/coaching combo is a recipe for disaster. It’s not hard to imagine a scenario where Brian Hoyer is playing meaningful snaps for that team and Davante Adams throws a very public tantrum about it and IRs himself or demands a trade and then the offense is as bad as the defense

Playing in that division doesn’t help either. You could at least see the Rams and Cardinals split with each other, plus the NFC overall is just obviously weaker. Raiders could very well be the worst team in the AFC and I wouldn’t be shocked

a worst case scenario where notably erratic passing prospect Jordan Love didn’t meaningfully develop in his 100 career NFL pass attempts and leads the league in INTs until he’s mercifully benched for the likes of Sean Clifford and Danny Etling could end really poorly

 

I don’t think so. If Mahomes never won another ring you could maybe say it’s the same as Manning / Brady haha. Mahomes is putting up statistics at a faster rate than both though, and already has the two rings and more SB appearances than Manning struggled his entire career to get. even if he played 5-7 fewer years than Tom Brady his higher per-season stats and at least 4 rings would be enough for me to classify Mahomes as better.

If Mahomes has 5-6 or more of the 2-3 best seasons of Brady/Manning I feel that argument would hold weight. He already has 2 seasons of that caliber (except for Manning’s record breaking Broncos season)

 

I’d be surprised if they benched Love in his first year as a starter, but they are a team I could see as a dark horse for Caleb. I’d be surprised though because I think LaFleur will get enough out of him and that offense to win enough games to have, say, a top 10 pick, not top 5
