This has to mean someone else wanted him that was higher in waiver order right? They announced they were releasing him lol

 

I think this happens from time to time where it’s announced that a player is getting released, but really they’re supposed to hit waivers and I guess teams get word before the move becomes official and the calls come in to make a trade. It’s strange

It will be a wild time in these forums when Kenny Pickett is better than Trevor Lawrence

Speaking of franchise altering future MVPs, who is winning the Caleb Williams sweepstakes? Every year we're always like "obviously these are the bottom teams" and then one of those teams makes the playoffs somehow and some random one is picking first

The Cardinals, mostly because their team is dogshit, but also because I think the Texans could finish with a top five pick, which ultimately belongs to the Cardinals

Rams and Bucs are two teams I’ve thought will also be in the running, but I’m adding the Raiders to the mix now, especially with today’s Jimmy news

Yeah the Cardinals seem to be the overwhelming favorite. I'm thinking Tampa too

 

Cardinals have both a bad QB situation, bad team, new coaching staff, and just overall dysfunction. It’s the perfect recipe. Plus, the extra first gives them a bit of a safety net

But I really don’t think the Bucs are far off from the Cardinals. Bad QB situation and Bowles is, once again, looking like a better DC than HC. I think the Bucs still have some great players on both sides of the ball, but they are a couple injuries away from just packing it in for the season.

 

I swear, if the Raiders end up being the team to fall ass backwards into Caleb Williams, I will never believe the NFC QB drought will end
