Wait is the between song stuff still there in order and the hidden track stuff on side D? Then that's good.

Wasn’t that the way the Cd was too? All the extra banter just shoved at the end like a “bonus”

Yeah I was concerned that meant the between song stuff, kinda forgot about everything at the end.

Oh maybe I read your initial question wrong. Yes, everything is in the same order as the CD.

I may snag the standard Nimrod. I have a single LP version that sounds bad.

  9. bought this today on a whim because 1. the record rules and 2. the variant is super cool - only bummers is the glitter probably makes it sound like shit and the PVC jacket will warp and/or ruin it so I need to store in my OG Golden Hours sleeve haha

We reach for the longest shadow

So The Ocean (Collective) put out their new album this past week. Only problem: it doesn't contain a 9 minute track smack dab in the middle of the album that is a lot of people's favorite. It isn't in the tracklisting on the back of the album. No one really knows what's going on, other than them doing this with their previous album for the last track, that they tried to say was a "bonus" track, even though nothing on any other listings for the album mention it as a bonus track. Even on the hype page for the new album they refer to the closer, the one left off the previous album, as pointing to how the new one would sound.

Everyone thinks it's to keep the length down so it fits on a single album, cutting down on costs. But what's the point of owning an album that is missing it's emotional centerpiece? It's one thing to say you left off a softer closing track and try to say it was a bonus track, but there's no way around this one.

EDIT: So apparently you can buy the $150 boxset that includes a 10" of the song, so they knew exactly what they were doing. Really frustrating.

OK, that explains why I didn't notice the Karin Park feature when I listened to my vinyl copy. That's ridiculous. The best part is one of the variants is named for that track, but it won't have it on there.

Oh yea, I got my box set while I was out of town. Haven’t had time to take photos yet.

For anyone else who got the box set, did you get your enamel pin? I did not. I need to email them.

So on their IG when announced preorders, this is how they mention it in the description for the deluxe boxset: "an extra 10" vinyl EP containing a collaboration with Karin Park, which is part of the digital album but will not be on the standalone vinyl versions".

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I've been listening to Sing It Loud and A Skylit Drive to see if I was interested in making a couple of nostalgia purchases, and I'm pretty surprised at how much more Wires And The Concept Of Breathing hits for 2023 me than basically anything from Sing It Loud other than "Come Around" (especially the acoustic version) and "Sugar Sweet."

I feel like Wires is an album I should let live in my nostalgia as being decent, because I'm scared if I listen to it now I will hate it.

I wasn't expecting to have as good a time with it as I did. Lots of really tight and interesting arrangements, and it felt plenty familiar without feeling like it was a caricature of the genre or anything like that. It's definitely of a moment, but it felt more like the sort of thing I would enjoy myself and never even try to put on around other people at this point haha

Just got the Enema of the State SRC pressing (from eBay). Man, it sounds amazing. SRC know what they’re doing. Shame they suck as a company. I want their Cheshire Cat pressing now.

Anyone still (or ever) order from Interpunk? I can’t believe they still exist with their same site from 20 years ago. Haha.

    Are they even legit anymore?
