    I was on the interstate and someone passed by in an old Honda Civic with part of a Popeyes menu strapped to the roof. Atlanta is GOATed

    this isn’t even a good example of that lol. Reducing this year’s cap hit by extending more money later is a trade off that fiscally and operationally makes sense.

    Obviously Irsay's list is idiotic but I kind of think there's maybe bad blood between him and Peyton (I'm purely speculating.) It seems that ever since Peyton left Indy and went to Denver, he's like, ALL IN on Denver things. He's always seen around town at different events and whatnot. It seems he's more beloved in Denver from his 4 years here than in Indy after his 15 years there. I almost think it's deliberate Irsay left him off

    There’s definitely bad blood. I am sure Manning was heavily incensed by being cut from the team after a neck injury, when he was the best Colts player of all time and still had enough skills to break records. I am sure he wanted to retire a Colt and was salty as hell he got replaced so easily by Andrew Luck

    Pretty sure from 2000-2009 the Colts had more regular season wins than any other team had in any 10 year stretch, I would feel very unappreciated if my owner just moved on from me that easily after I accomplished that and brought the team it’s only SB ring since moving to Indy

    Especially if Irsay led Manning to believe he would be back the next season and wasn’t open and honest with him that he was tanking for his replacement

    I just watched highlights of the Colts dwepping Manning’s Broncos in the playoffs two years after the swap, and then the Colts getting TROUNCED by the Pats in the AFCCG after that

    @whitenblue88 does it still hurt

    I don’t even like the Colts but I still got so annoyed at that 27 yard NATE SOLDER touchdown lol. What the actual fuck. I don’t even get how he was an eligible receiver lol, it wasn’t one of those big goal line formations where two tackles were lined up next to the guard and center. I don’t get why you can send your ONLY tackle out for a route.

    part of competitiveness is exploiting loopholes though so good on Belichick for knowing he can do that. I also thought it was brilliant that he mostly used LeGarrette Blount rather than putting it in Brady’s hands - the way to beat the Luck Colts was NEVER to have a shootout with Luck. Those were the games Luck would win in dramatic fashion. BB knew that their front 7 is weak and if you wear them down you win the game easily, which Denver did not.

    Solder was a TE in college. Shoulda been looking for it.

    Also, yeah, he knew to run on the Colts. Jonas fucking Gray had 4 TDs on them earlier in the year haha

    I mean the ref has to announce to everybody before the play that the T is eligible so it’s still the Colts fault. Just fucking wild that Bill knows exactly when to call those kinds of wonky plays haha.

    I’m sure he makes T eligible on a lot of plays but doesn’t send them out for routes, just as a decoy - so the defense isn’t paying attention, and he can set it up as a surprise when he does want to call it

    I just doubled checked because I thought I remembered this. They were using a tackle as an eligible receiver all throughout the game with Fleming, and were running out of that set 90% of the time.

    incredible hahaha; that’s a great gameplan for a team that played a lot of Cover 3 at the time. It’s too easy to take the safety and LB away with a TE post and a fake RB screen or dumpoff, and then even a slow ass offensive tackle has 20 yards of space to run

    he finally called it right in that window when they were right outside the red zone, and needed one big score to really take control of the game. And *that’s* what shut the door on Andrew Luck’s best playoff run, nothing flashy, just setting the whole gameplan up to run a lot and throw the ball to your offensive tackle when they don’t expect it. Classic Belichick
