The Jones statement is really sad to read. Huge case of what could have been, he was so naturally talented. 229 appearances over 11 years says a lot. The abuse he's received over the years has been abhorrent, given his dedication to the club. Not his fault Woodward gave him a new contract.

I hope he's been working on coaching badges behind the scenes the last few years, and I hope United offer him a position in the younger age groups if that's the direction he wants to take.

 

Slotting where I come from means to score a goal! Let's hope for Spurs that he's Slot by name, slot by nature haha.

No clue honestly. I’ve seen reports saying Barca, Real Madrid, even going to play in Turkey — there’s been nothing concrete, just normal worthless rumors

MLS would be fantastic but he can still play at a very high level when healthy so I wouldn’t be shocked if he goes to Spain for quality competition and superior weather

 

Supposedly Barca is his destination if they can offload the right amount of people.

I’d like to see some changes today. We’ve made the least changes to our team of any club in the PL, which speaks to our lack of depth. And because of that, we’re knackered.

Tierney and Nelson should play instead of the injured Zinchenko and Martinelli. I’d consider playing Smith Rowe instead of Saka too, who needs a rest more than anyone.

In the end, it’s basically a dead rubber so why not try some players who we seem unsure on.

 

Having a 4th attack-minded player, that isn’t a wingback, makes us more threatening with the ball??? Who would’ve thought?!
