    Swanky Kong > Funky Kong.

I'm sorry, someone had to say it.

This was fun... the random song from Jack Black could've been cut out, though. Was bummed no real Yoshi apperance (though there were his types, and then the egg at the wedding). And then the ending... they saved Brooklyn... from an incident they themselves caused was kinda funny. Punch Out Pizza and Castle Burgers were fun bits. Kids loved it too. Definitely worth it seeing it in IMAX.

I told my students we were going to watch the Mario movie and I put on the original. They are so confused.

Jack Black’s song was a true highlight for me personally. I like the movie, but it was one of the few moments that wasn’t reference soup.

Saw it last night…looked incredible but child-focused animation is just super hard for me to find interesting/funny.

Have a feeling we might see an extended universe built out of this.

Saw this last night - was a really great time. I had so much fun just listening to the score reinterpreting the classic music.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Caught it over the weekend. The dog giving his nod of approval at the end made me lose my absolute shit.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

“Doesn’t she hate you?!” being shouted offscreen absolutely killed me.

I want to watch it but $25 for a rental seems insane

but even for older movies I usually won't pay more than like, $5 for a rental. tried to watch Arrival on my friend's plex a month or so ago and it looked terrible so just paid a few bucks to rent it

Are you sure your plex server isn’t just infiltrated with the Matrix home release?

We just watched this again last night. It was the second time for me, probably the 3rd or 4th for my kids, but it was my wife's first time seeing it. She loved it. She was cracking up the entire time and loved and pointed out a bunch of musical cues from the games that I didn't even pick on.
