Also, Jamie fucking Tartt. What a character arc. Wearing Sam’s number for him, ugh that got me. And yeah, the scene with Roy and Phoebe was fantastic.

Yeah, the Jamie/Roy stuff has been my favorite of the show. Episode was good.

I know we’ve talked endlessly about the show length, but it feels more and more apparent you could shorten Nate and Keeley’s stories and keep the episodes under an hour. Like there’s a way to do the PR subplot and have it fail and get resurrected by Rebecca without jumping through hoops.

I also thought it was funny that we still don’t get any backstory on Nate’s girlfriend. It felt like she was basically saying at the top: “Instead of developing ny character, I’m gonna completely disappear for this episode. Goodbye now.”

 

I’ve been enjoying S3 more than S2, but this episode seemed to rushed and weird to me. I think I would have preferred some of this spread out across some of the past episodes.

Completely agree. Add in Keeley and Mae meeting for the first time lol. I was like… are we on season 14 of a show where random characters start getting paired together??

I did like the Jamie/Roy stuff, but that’s about the only things that hit for me in this episode. And my god it was like 25-30 minutes too long.

 

the violin scene worked for me more than it didn't tbh, but i agree otherwise. something about the keeley mae scene in particular just felt off, which has been my one somewhat consistent complaint this season - every couple episodes we'll get like 10 minutes that feel like they're from a different series.

great Roy episode, and just about everything surrounding the international games was great. Jamie wearing 24 is about as good a Ted Lasso Moment™ as the series has had

 

been saying it since last season, it's 1000% gonna happen

 

i liked evil dani but poor van damme, he just wanted to share his chips

 

Felt so much like a finale with everything being tidied up in that fashion.

Such a classic Lasso episode - heartwarming, sad, funny, poignant, and weird

 

Jamie and Roy is the new Steve & Dustin from Stranger Things pairing for me lol

 

I just started the latest episode and Nate already quit? He just quit managing a major soccer club in the premier league? I know it started building to this before but lol that was quick.

 

I loved this episode and I love Chapo esp Felix why the slander

 

red right hand is so deeply associated with scream to me that the needle drop here was very jarring lol
