label need to let her release Touching Yourself as a single but they prob won't for obv reasons

yeah wow, this is amazing

like, it's not Good at Falling pt. 2 but doesn't need to be, Amber's pushed her sound to new places since then and it's super strong from a melodic and lyrical standpoint. not to mention the orchestral elements. absolutely smashed it.

MUNA feature on a different song on the record so yeah makes sense

 

In the press release Amber specifically called out Katie as huge influence on getting Amber to get out of their songwriting rut and try new things.

like all of the pieces surrounding this album seems like it’s specifically made for my music tastes

And seems like the whole album is a hit!

They’ve all been great but this is very easily my favorite so far. Girl don’t miss

My love of these three is more than the sum of my like for the last album, so I'm very excited for this

 

same! I've been listening to the first 2 singles non-stop, and this new one is great too.
Really pumped for the whole album

 

Heh, I don't think anything on the new album comes close to touching the first, but I do really like this album, it's just the debut is one of my favorite albums of the last decade. I'd compare it to the last Sigrid album, the debut is just so so so strong that even a solid follow-up sits in its shadow.

 

As much as I really love the debut, I think the more straightforward pop direction works better for my tastes than the art pop flavors of the debut. But the debut is an incredible album, and I’m excited that TJH isn’t just rehashing that sound on the new one so they can really be standing giants amongst one another.

 

Wouldn't call this album straight forward pop at all heh. The first song is probably the weirdest thing she's done. Almost leaning directly into that Lucier style she's hinted at in the past.

 

I mean it's beautiful but definitely can see it throwing people for a loop. Reminds me of Marika is Sleeping a bit.
