Randall Im going to say this once. NO ONE is rooting against Trevor(unless they hate the Jags)

Just because others like Herb more doesn't mean they are actively running with torches and pitchforks towards Trev.

Obviously alot of jabs go his and your way but its just light hearted.

 

Oh god please no, the last thing I want is Goodell and the 32 owners totally not in charge of who gets the #1 pick at all no siree their hands are totally off

 

We were sitting around like "just release the schedule and stop doing this whole schtick around the release" and now we want the draft order to be another thing to milk like that, no thank you

 

My argument isn’t that he’s put more on paper. I’ve acknowledged, even yesterday, that by all tangible metrics, Herbert has accomplished more than Trevor has accomplished. I also acknowledged today that there’s still a chance last year was just Lawrence going on a hot streak and he could come back to earth this year.

My argument is that it’s about more than what’s on paper, and the way Trevor elevated an offense with a shoddy offensive line and B-list receivers means a lot to how I rank a QB even if it’s not cleanly quantifiable. And of course, Doug P had a lot to do with that too, not saying the coaching isn’t a factor, it definitely is. The multiple 4th quarter comebacks, though, is more of a QB thing because so few QB in a given generation can tighten up like that when they are put under that much pressure. That’s a rare “intangible” trait that, in my view, can mean more than raw stats if it shows up consistently

I am not rooting against Trevor I’m just tired of seeing (not actually reading) paragraph after paragraph about the same playoff game or Trevor v Herbo in general. It’s just the same argument over and over and over and over.

 

my argument for every single team starts with “well, they do play the [Texans/Colts/Titans] twice apiece, so if [young QB] makes positive strides this season, I wouldn’t count them out”
