I mean fuck - you root for the Pirates, PNC field is fuckin awesome and they’re solid / leading the division this year. I would absolutely go to a division matchup game over a lot of concerts there if it was cheaper and I didn’t have to drive / park

 

I also definitely go to way more concerts than baseball games haha

 

stop talking about baseball this is more important

 

they started strong and are 2-8 in their last 10 and are no longer leading the division. But there being so many baseball games a season I just wouldn’t pick it over a concert I wanted to go to. It’s not like NFL where there are only 17 games.

I enjoy going to a baseball game, which I rarely do. But I'd go to a concert alone before a baseball game.

 

Baseball games shortening to be 2-3 hours now instead of 3-4 hours is absolutely my jam

yes the pitch clock improved the game a lot

starting extra innings with a guy on second, though, did not. Makes it too easy to win with a base hit and a sac fly

Tbh I love that landing spot for QJ. He's competing for 4th in targets.

 

yeah this is making me watch a little more than I usually do

 

I’m not going to pretend like I watched his film, but I’ve heard a lot of his analysis of his game throughout the process and I like the idea of him providing some RAC for this team while developing as a deep threat.

I would have preferred Flowers because it seems like he would check the boxes they were looking for from an outside perspective, but I get the sense that they’re another team like the Packers where they have size thresholds that they prefer to adhere by, for better or worse.

 

I also think that sometimes a specific need can cloud a team’s judgment too much at times. The conversations around the Chargers’ need for a deep threat was the same shit I heard all offseason as an Eagles fan leading up to the 2020 draft and they took fucking Reagor over Jefferson (it’s fine, the Eagles are happy and so am I), but they found a decent enough deep threat in the sixth round that year in Quez. Funny how it all turned out

I figured they'd go Addison but yeah for what they said they're looking for QJ makes sense too. Zay would've been my choice over him though cause he can actually replace Keenan down the line

 

I don’t know how legitimate this is, but one of the guys I listen to said he went on a Chargers pod recently and they suggested that the QJ pick may have also been made with the idea to actually move on from Williams next year as opposed to Allen because Allen has been such a key player to the franchise over the last decade and they may want to do what they can to ensure he plays his entire career with the team

 

How am I supposed to watch all of these games live?
