Got lunch at this newish place near me and I am angry that the wings were 5 for 10 bucks and a victory summer love (which isn't really a good beer) was 8 bucks. I hope this place fails!

you legit might as well just spend more money on a quality food experience there cause pub food ain’t cheap and it ain’t that good either. DC has good pubs but way more of them are overpriced milquetoast food

But at least there IS a lot of very affordable international / ethnic food, way more options there than most cities

 

my buddy went to a new place near us and had 2 ic light bottles and his gf had a diet coke and it was $15 so I'll probably never go there

usually the cheapest beer at a bar is like, a PBR or like a Tecate and theyre $5, so even 3 or 4 of those is close to or over $20 with a tip, but a good craft beer on draft is at least $8-9 each.

yeah it depends on the place around here. I should have also specified that it’s basically a dive bar that opened and is right down the street from my favorite dive bar where ic lights are $3 so that plays into it as well.
