i'm very intimidated by TMV

 

TMV suck!

 

I'll take ATDI over TMV any day.

speaking of, and I know this is unpopular, I might prefer In/Casino/Out to RoC at this point. But I love them both very much.

 

Yeah I gotta be real TMV has always been too up their ass for me to like beyond "eh"

 

I love TMV a lot and also cannot deny how average-to-bad some of their stuff is

And I agree that In/Casino/Out is the best ATDI album

 

yeah i love the idea of concept albums. i can't be arsed actually understanding the concept of any of them though.

 

Love Francis. Like a bunch of other stuff. Never understood people who worship them. Rolled my eyes at people who over the top hate them.

The exception to this being Amputechture, which is a boring garbage album.

 

Bedlam and Deloused are awesome

 

I love tmv, way more than atdi

 

The Mars Volta were bad when I saw them, I also saw them open for the Chili Peppers so maybe I was being punished for my terrible taste

 

I don't like ATDI but I like Volta

 

Not huge on either but I like ATDI more for sure

 

Yeah actually who am I kidding Illinoise by Sufjan is the best concept record

All very solid older concept albums.

Also I'm sorry, but every time someone writes "TEN" I still only think of the Pearl Jam album lol

Probably because it took them 15 years to release a 2nd album lol

But I agree. They were way ahead of their time.

 

The last As Cities Burn album is the best. They think it were a joke album but all their stuff before is run of the mill post hardcore (and the kind of post hardcore that offends me because ATDI and refused are post hardcore)

 

My favorite concept album is probably Antichrist Superstar by Manson, then Nebraska by Springsteen. The Fragile/Downward Spiral are also great choices.

...(And now, an even less popular opinion) I can't stand American Idiot.

 

I love the mars volta and at the drive in a ton. TMV especially. Bedlam and Deloused are two of my favorite albums.
