Still finishing it up (taking their time as always). Touring last year and Deryck having another kid probably slowed things down a bit. You would think it would have to be out before the fall tour though.

 

From an interview published last month, it sounds like it was being mixed and they were hoping to have it out in Spring or Summer

What on earth? Where is this coming from? Nothing lately has given any indication of this happening. I wonder what the deal is. Incredibly sad to hear this.

 

I saw them in the Pit at Warped Tour one year. All the boys around me smelled like sweat, beer, and weed.

I felt like i needed to be hosed down after their set.

 

Wow. This is super sad. This band are local to me, and they played a massive part in my youth and helping shape the music I listen to today. I need to be at that final tour.

Sum 41 was my first "favorite band," so I am sads. I'm grateful that Dave came back and the band has lasted as long as they have. They always seem to be touring and I wonder if Deryck having children recently has played a role in this. Either way I'll be there to see them for the first and last time on that tour. Scumfucks for life!

 

They saw how the blink, my chem, and yellowcard reunions increased their demand.

 

Incredibly sad to hear this. Them and Blink were the soundtrack to 7th & 8th grade for me.

That doesn’t answer why they would be calling it quits then.

 

Sum 41 were the second show I ever went to back in 2001. I still remember how excited I was for that.

This is weird timing for me personally becuase I just ran into Cone at the Frank Turner/Interrupters show here the other night and had a little chat with him

 

Probably a foregone conclusion that the current lineup remains unchanged for this final tour, but I’d love to see Steve-O return behind the kit one last time.

 

Yellowcard, Blink and My Chem all basically doubled or tripled their demand with their breaks. Sum 41 could take off for 5 years and be selling out arenas when they reunite.

 

This. Is. AWFUL.
