Lol definitely got wrapped up in the excitement today. I am fine waiting till June. Ideally, whenever the next song drops we only have to wait a couple of months for the whole record. I will be bummed if there's a 3+ month wait and a bunch of songs dropping in that timeframe. Would love two strong singles and then one more song like a month or less before the album. It would be really cool if the album drops during tour and they start noodling around with new songs live.

So new song 6/2 (Hopefully with album announcement). They have a two week tour break then, so that may give them time to do press to promote. Their next tour break after that will be late July and all of August. So maybe the album will release in August?

 

As an old man, month long countdowns to singles may be the dumbest trend going.

Me neither. Time flies by, and in the meantime we got a tour going on (not just any tour)

 

I think the "Stall" hasn't been promoted yet. It might've been for the next couple of weeks down the line so that it wasn't a month long wait for a new song but rather 2 weeks.

EDIT: As in, the blink socials haven't posted about this "Stall" website yet. I'm thinking they are meant to post in the next couple of weeks to get buzz going, and then the scribbling gets removed. So rather than seeing this on May 4 and seeing we're a month out, we were meant to be normal humans and see this in a normal timeline and have a 2 week wait for a new song.

I'm not mad that they put up this fun Stall page. It's fun. But I'm a fan of their music and not just their websites. So I'd prefer to have new music. I'll just keep twiddling my thumbs and wait.

 

At this point, do we think Edging is even on the album? Or just a one-off single to generate excitement around the reunion.

 

I think late July/early August is reasonable for the album (and still meets that "summer" promise they had on preorders). New song and album announcement on June 2nd, then a two months gap until the album is released just like with the last two albums.

Right, that's what I said a couple of pages back. They aren't even really hyping anything yet. The song isn't supposed to be revealed yet, it seems.
