I think the earliest I’ve been to a show when I didn’t have VIP or something was 90 minutes. And that’s just because I’m short and need to get close before some 7 ft tall guy (@bachna84 ) stands in front of me

Only time I ever showed up super early for a show was 20 years ago when I went to go see Silverstein and ended up drinking with them at the bar for three hours before they went on. Nobody knew who they were and there were at maximum, 12 people at the show.

I was also 17.

 

I met Mark and Travis by showing up at noon before an 8pm show. Stay hydrated. Have fun!

Longest I've waited was probably NFG/Boxcar in Boston. Probably in line for 4 or 5 hours in like 35 degree weather lol

 

The only time I showed up super early for a show was for Blink 182 at the tiny Irving Plaza for their Dollar Bill tour in 2003.
Got there 7 hours early to get front row. But then halfway through their set I had the urge to crowd surf so I moved to the back. I was immediately dropped on my head and was winded for the rest of the night.

I'd like to say that was my last time crowd surfing. But a year later I did it at a TBS show.....I wasnt wearing a belt and my shorts got pulled all the way down. THAT was the last time haha

 

That was def the earliest I ever showed up for a show, that was the Worcester Centrum and when Fenix TX got me and my friend in to the show and I met Mark

So that advice tracks. Go at noon and you'll meet Mark lol

 

I got to a Jimmy Eat World concert a few hours early once. It was the Clarity x 10 tour, in Tempe AZ, and I wanted to be real close since it was all GA. Planes were flying overhead the whole time, going to and from Sky Harbor airport, so it was really cool.

 

I like the 12 hour wait dedication. I get it. I mean, we've waited years for this. What's 12 hours compared to that?

 

The last time I did that was uhhh the Hella Mega tour. And that might have been the last time, because I'm way too old. But I used to regularly camp out for shows back in the day.

 

I’ve never personally done the super long wait for a show thing and most certainly never will at this point, but I respect anyone dedicated enough

 

Get there late and just push your way up front haha

 

Both times +44 played in Hamburg I hung out at the venue’s entrance to have a talk with Mark. Me and my friend were basically the only ones around, so Mark took some time for us. Awesome experiences

I showed up for the Pop Disaster Tour in Phoenix right when I got out of school... was the first in line... didn't hydrate and almost passed out on the rail before blink went on. There was also a little balcony at over the main doors and Tom came out and through confetti and snacks on us.

 

I’m in the pit for the show tonight. Random question but anyone here have advice on how to subside gout and plantar fasciitis while standing for four hours? I have Tiger Balm and Pain Reliever Lidocaine but wasn’t sure if anyone here had tricks. I love being in the pit but my feet fucking hate me.

 

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my feet to not hate me for like 20 years now

Lol if I just got a mobilized scooter for the pit, I’d be set lol

 

Plantar shoe insoles, ibuprofen, and a nice ACE ankle/foot brace on the most problematic foot. you are welcome
