This. I always enjoyed Poli’s vocals more and the back is lacking without her.

 

i feel bad too, a decade of grinding it out together, finally get signed to their dream label, drop two of the best pop punk albums ive heard in along time and then bailing and ending a friendship, its hard :/

 

What’s the story here? What happened?

 

Thats what I was wondering to. Thought one didn't want to do it anymore because she had kids but didn't think there was any bad blood

 

Yeah, I was under the impression Poli stepped away for family and health related reasons.

 

Completely agree. It worked because it was both of them as well so it’s a shame it’s now the Jen show. I was under the impression Poli left because of family and health reasons but wouldn’t be surprised to hear there were issues.

 

The vibe I got from the podcast Poli did right after leaving the band is that she wanted to start a family and that wasn’t something that Jen really supported while Poli was in the band which is why Poli left.

It sucks because they were coming off releasing their best/most accessible work and were about to go on the biggest tour they’ve ever done. I feel like the band was just hitting their stride.

 

It was always a bummer that their last full length dropped literally the same week Covid shut everything down.

 

it just became the jen show and poli left because of it. It didn’t feel equal anymore. They / her covered it up about health stuff but she’s playing shows with jughead’s new band so yeah. They okayed here by me a couple months ago

Right? Everyone got the shaft in 2020 early 2021. Lots of those albums fell by the wayside and it’s definitely a bummer. That bombpops album is so good and that was 3 years ago. Nothing new since.

also this tour got shelved and I was looking forward to it :/
