Man, I miss when we talked about Weezer instead of Yellowcard and Ocean Avenue

 

Super weird to me that you apparently can’t celebrate something without celebrating every single second of it

 

where have they said this? genuinely asking because all i’ve see is their first announcement — including the press release that called the comeback tour “celebrating 20 years of ocean avenue — and them replying to comments and stuff.

i’ve personally never seen them make a tweet or post about it outright themselves

Since when is the assumption of doing an anniversary tour isn’t that it will be a full album play through? All they talk about on social is ocean avenue. All the fest appearances are full album plays. Not a single fb post would lead you to assume the tour ISNT a full play through. Do you really think they didn’t know how their reunion/anniversary tour would be marketed? It’s all very very sloppy

 

Idk, personally I wasn't really confused about it and didn't assume from the first poster they released that it'd be a full album play through... But whatever, I guess.

 

Most full album tours specifically state it and they play 75% of the album anyways. The poster literally said “celebrating” and said nothing about playing it front to back. A lot of times when bands do full album tours the deep cuts don’t even get big responses so I don’t blame them for not playing the whole album. It’s this entitled attitude that makes most bands go on hiatus/break up. Y’all need to be grateful lol

I remember when Sum 41 celebrated Chuck by playing like 4 or 5 songs off of it

 

i’ll be the only one in attendance if they ever played paper walls in full

 

not sure it’s entitled, at least not for me personally. i don’t care either way, it’s not my favorite album of theirs so i’ll be fine with it. just think they could surely be more clear about what they’re doing is all lol

 

I need a filter that just replaces the word Weezer or Yellowcard with the sound of vuvuzelas in my mind because that's all I hear out of here half the time.

Aerosmith tour announcing tomorrow. LA show is at the Kia Forum

 

Arenas in most of the standard cities. Have seen the teasers for Raleigh, KC, Boston, Chicago and Louisville.

 

I mean this in all sincerity and honesty. Does anyone actually believe that Aerosmith is going to be any good at this point vs the amount they are gonna charge for these tickets.

 

It’s supposedly a farewell tour, so their performance ability itself probably won’t even be the selling factor.

 

It’s been a few years but last time I saw them the show was really good and Steve Tyler can still hit some of those notes.

 

Is Aerosmith one of those bands that’s gone on multiple “farewell” tours? I feel like this isn’t the first one they’ve been on…

 

I’ve never seen them do one personally but wouldn’t shock me

 

It’s always wild to me that Steven Tyler is pretty openly a sex offender and it’s never really commented on. Meanwhile we still can’t openly talk about better bands who were accused of far less.

while I agree to an extent with what you are saying. I do think to a certain degree you can write off some of the things people did in the 70’s and 80’s as a time period. Like I think we can all agree that things were ALOT different then.
