I have no idea why I'm addicted to RetroWave stuff... but damn the New Arcades "Severed" and W O L F C L U B "Death of Naivety" singles are incredible. I saw The Midnight last year in concert and they impressed me more than The 1975.

 

In the early 2000s, my friends and I used to go to local punk/hardcore shows here in Utah alllllll the time. My buddy and I were reminiscing about the good ol’ days a couple months ago and we thought it’d be fun to make a compilation of a bunch of the old local bands we used to see all the time. So I reached out to a bunch of bands members (none of the bands are active anymore btw) and got them each to submit a track. Here it is, if anyone is curious in hearing some early 2000s emo/hardcore/punk bands you’ve never heard of.

Nice one on the people shouting out Lakes (UK). Didn't know they had something new out. They are playing Portals Festival in a few weeks and were a stand out band from my initial listens to the festival hype playlist. Excited to check out that album and scout it out ahead of seeing them!
