Even if the original comment was true - that the majority of their fanbase is age 14-18 - failing to see how this album is inaccessible to that age range.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

parts of this, bits and pieces, remind me of mewithoutYou. which is not a bad thing.

Mind giving a couple examples? I'm not sure I hear it but I'd be interested in where you're picking that up so I can go back with that in mind.

definitely will do once i'm back home.

i thought it while driving and don't recall what song was on at the time. most of it i think was just how Jon's voice sounded.

I've never been able to really get into these guys in the past, but fuck, this record is sick.

Only 9 songs tonight, 7 from the new record, 2 from TTWTWM, and nothing else. Show was awesome though. New songs sounded killer live. The bass parts on this album fucking rip.

I finally gave this a listen and it was aggressively decent. Was never really super impressed, but never really unimpressed either. Fame is probably the best track.

  15. The bass is so cool on this album. A lot of fun parts to play along with, and the fuzz tone is especially great and utilized really well.

the drumming kind of reminds me of The National (mostly Boxer and High Violent) in that they aren't the centerpiece or super loud, but they're constantly going and have some great moments and structure to them (i think anyway).

Hard to tell. There wasn't much movement in the crowd or singing along but it seemed like people were enjoying the show.

I'm in the minority here where I loved the last record and haven't liked the first three from this. Should I even bother downloading?

  21. Opening track is my favorite.

I love how the album is for the most part driven by the bass and drums. And the vocal melodies are great too.

  22. Some of the tracks remind me of Polyenso. Which is obviously a good thing.
