Mrs. Davis (Peacock) TV Show

Discussion in 'Entertainment Forum' started by Joe, Apr 21, 2023.

  1. Created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof.
Starring Betty Gilpin, Jake McDorman, and Andy McQueen.

  2. Like other Lindelof shows, this sounds too absurd and silly on paper, but somehow is just works on screen. It's ridiculous yet compelling at the same time. I'm loving it so far.

Only watched the pilot so far but basically the whole episode had the vibe of the Lube Man scene from Watchmen and I'm very into it. Looking forward to watching more.

Genuinely can’t get a handle on this show. At moments I think it’s actively bad, then 10 minutes later I’m cracking up!

Either way I’m fully committed to keeping up with it haha

Watched the first two episodes last night and I’m all in.

Very much a Lindelof show with the Science vs. Faith theme.

This is so ridiculous in the best way.

  10. Love this so far. The bit with breaking the flip phones in half gets me every time.

  11. Ep 5 was great. This show rocks.

Ep. 5 got me good with the head explosion. Show is insane in how well it mixes its absurdism with some genuinely beautiful and touching moments too. Hope more people start talking about it.

That scene left my jaw open for like 5 minutes, didn’t see that coming at all.

I'm only two episodes into Davis so I'll avoid comments but this has me on another Lindelof binge. Halfway through Watchmen right now and I'll jump into The Leftovers next.

Haven't done a Lost re-watch in maybe a decade so it might be time for that too.

2 episodes in and I can't tell if its too bonkers? Short answer is no because it's Lindelof and I trust him, but I would be lying if I didn't say I'm really really confused lol

Lol it's definitely bonkers. You'll remain confused for a bit but episode 5 clears up a lot of stuff.

I’m two episodes in and very fascinated but also a bit confused as well. However, you and others have mentioned episode five so I’m going to try and get to that episode at some point today.

alright. I'm all caught up and more than READY TO GO BABY!! Great show. One things for sure, Lindelof is the absolute KING of soundtracks. I feel like i'm watching this mostly to see what semi-obscure old song he digs up

I'm kind of in between. I like that it goes for it but often feels like it takes stuff too far out.

Tbh - if this wasn't a Lindelof project, I probably wouldn't finish it.

    The finale was absolutely bonkers.

Didn’t realize this was just a mini series, the story definitely feels wrapped up in the end.
