Pretty sure that’s in reference to Turnstile, not blink.

 

It's sort of funny that this is just shaping up to be the 2009 reunion tour all over again (only the hits, no new album on the immediate horizon) but they're just older and they sound better now and are charging 5x per ticket.

 

We are much closer to a new album now then we were during the 2009 reunion

 

Oh sure, I just mean that this tour will (more than likely) play out without one, or perhaps just an announcement of one to come.

If you take "Edging" out, you'd be looking at a set they could've (and might've) played in '09 under similar reunion circumstances. I don't even necessarily think it's a bad thing, just funny.

Edit: I had followed him for AvA stuff. His recent posts been with turnstile so I guess I was mistaken.

 

Interesting to hear Tom play it with the same guitar tuning as Obvious. Always thought it was tuned to E standard with a capo.

 

Changes from v2:

• Fixed up a few more audio issues
• Better EQ
• Fixed the slight gap between a few song transitions
• Updated artwork and album title to prepare for second weekend.

Notes:

• Tracks cut up into individual songs. Trying to follow the MTATS model of where to put the dialog and looking for good places to make the edits so everything would blend together nicely.
• Cleaned up the audio best I could, there's still a pretty audible hiss/noise during the vocals in the second weekend (especially when they're talking), but given the source, this is the best to my ability.
• Tracks tagged and encoded as 320 kbps MP3s.
• Artwork by Danyel Saldanha Evangelista
• Feel free to share with other fans, everyone deserves Blink.
• Blink-182 for life.

if you can get a clear couple seconds of the hiss isolated with no music or anything else going on, there's a few different noise removal plugins that might be able to do the trick.

I used the ones I already own (NS1), but don't wanna spend any money on stuff I'll probably never use - the one I think would work the best is a few hundred bucks haha. I couldn't find any spots of just the hiss to use which makes it much harder.

 

Yeah, if there's no spots with just the hiss for it to detect and take away, it'll just mess up the whole audio file. bummer.

Download the files on your computer, upload it to iTunes, it should sync to your phone

I'm glad you mention that as I had a guitar/tuning related question while watching Coachella night 2 again last night...Tom used to have a capo on fret 2 for WMAA if I recall correctly?

He wasn't using the capo at the Coachella set, did they just tune that guitar differently so the capo isn't necessary?

 

2009:
- no new music for 2.5 years
- album written in pieces over email / Tom never even listened to the masters
- belligerent drunk Tom live
- "Does Tom even want to be there?"

2022/23
- New song immediately
- Writing and working on new album together in same room
- Band sounds as tight as ever live
- Incredible vibes

I'll take the 2022/2023 version of blink 100% of the time.
