I get that some people would kill for this but I really loathe being talked up by coworkers when new people or clients start working with us. It does me literally no fucking good if you’re talking me up about how great/fast/knowledgeable I am to brand new people. Let them figure it out on their own. I don’t need you repeating it every fucking day and having them expecting the world from me before I even send them an email.

We have a new client working with us, a team of 5-6 people and I don’t meet with them until the third week of May and already I’m seeing in emails and being told by people that my managers and team is talking me up like I shit gold and invented sex. I told my manager today, in front of about a dozen people to stop doing that. Don’t know how she could think I would be positive of that after working with her for 5 years. I do not want anyone ever to know me by name, remember my name or associate me with anything lol. I am the man behind the curtain, it doesn’t matter how I got your bullshit done, it got done, move on. Don’t remember the person/name that did it, thanks.

 

That the default pick up option on the DQ app is to pick up inside and not drive thru!! If I’m ordering ice cream at night I’m obviously not in any condition to be seen in public!! I almost just went through the drive thru anyway but I didn’t wanna inconvenience the workers so I went inside looking like a true mess!

 

I am the exact same way. I hate when my boss does this. I like appreciation but I feel like they can express gratitude and appreciation without making me seem like some sort of untouchable next coming of Jesus or something. The more people know me and my name is out there the worse it is. I like to fly under the radar. Keep expectations low and I'll meet them every time but don't put me on a pedestal! I don’t know how many times I can cringe at people at the laundromat over stuffing AND putting too much detergent in the machine. Their clothes aren’t clean and have so much build up on it.
