With After Midnight it really bothers me that Mark sings the chorus with a slightly different melody the first time.
He sings the word “midnight” with a higher note instead of a lower note. I dunno drives me crazy sometimes lol

 

I’ve always wondered why he did that. Maybe he liked both versions and didn’t want to scrap one?

It seems like such a pointless change, but maybe they just felt like doing the exact same chorus three times was sort of boring for this particular song and that’s the best they could come up with or settle on.
