Had Blink not been replacing Ocean, were they still supposed to perform this weekend? Doesn't Coachella keep the same performances both weekends? But with Blink being a surprise act for Weekend 1, I didn't know if they were supposed to return for week 2 had it not been for replacing Ocean.

 

Also - complete side note - why don't they ever play the original Anthem? Was surprised to see they had only played it just 3 times total prior to the 20 year tour.

You’re right. They should have said California and Nine are so much better than Neighborhoods, that the stinky Neighborhoods should not even be mentioned in the same conversation as the two good ones. It’s like comparing steak to poopie.

Nope. I love Alk3 and Skiba and he did a great job with Blink. But those two albums should have been edited down to one amazing album. Which makes me still like Neighborhoods more It has the best of Blink mixed with what I love about AVA. And it’s got some amazing tunes. Ghosts On The Dancefloor. Natives. Up All Night. After Midnight. Wishing Well. Kaleidoscope. Fighting The Gravity. Great stuff. Y’all are crazy.

I've always thought "Neighborhoods isn't my favorite, but it's also not too bad".... but I realized how little I actually like it when I wasn't disappointed in the slightest that nothing from that record was played last weekend.

On Sunday (and the rest of the tour), I won't be mad if Ghost, Wishing Well, After Midnight or Up All Night get added into the rotation but I would rather have songs from pretty much any other album lol.

 

I missed the majority of last night, so I'm catching up.

Blink is supposedly taking the closer spot for Coachella? Does that mean we potentially get a 2 hour long set?

I have a flight on Monday and will thoroughly enjoy watching the performance up in the sky.

This is about how I feel. Ghost on the Dancefloor and (less so) Even If She Falls seem to be the only two I really care to listen to these days.

 

I maintain that Neighborhoods has like 4 or 5 good (not great) songs and a handful of bottom tier blink

 

Even If She Falls remains the best song on that album and the closest in sound to the rest of their discography.
