Knowing this about people is why I haven't started Genshin Impact, I just know myself so well and even if I don't have to...I would

 

I spent exactly 60 dollars on that game. I promised myself I won't spend more on it than I spent on BotW.

Actually, I think spending money on it was to my detriment. I don't really like season passes in single player focussed games and since I don't partake in the endgame it was a needless grind for mats I don't need. I highly recommend that game, and I highly recommend spending exactly 0 dollars on it. You can see all the story content that way and explore all the supremely gorgeous locales.

does spending money on server transfers and faction transfers in wow before the days of widespread micro transactions count? if so easily that

 

I mean given it's a boxed release with a monthly fee I would say it doesn't but I'm always curious about what you have to say either way :)

 

Warzone also in 2020 or rocket league the first couple years after it launched

 

Unless season passes count I never spent money on micro transactions I think. I am not opposed to cosmetic micro transactions at all though.

Same boat as @The Lucky Moose —and if we're counting season passes, we might as well count DLC, which doesn't seem to make sense.

For microtransactions, I've spent probably $50 on Pokémon Go, and that's it.

 

How does dlc not count?

 

Either Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links or the cost of membership for Runescape over years...probably the latter

 

I don't view DLC as a microtransaction.

Relevant to that, I view season passes as a kind of DLC.

Season passes to me are somewhere in between for because they usually are for cosmetics I guess, but based on their usual price points I also wouldn’t call them micro

 

Agreed; and the season passes I have experience with tend to go beyond skins/items/accessories and offer some kind of new gaming concept or experience, which is why I would distinguish them from microtransactions, though I guess it depends on the game.

 

Either that, or purchasing the console and navigating setup is the Only True Game, and all game purchases are microtransactions, unless you buy a collector's edition that's worth more than the price of the console.
