An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I absolutely love Church on Sunday and Macy Day Parade off Warning. two of their best

Warning is basically a perfect album, it's my favorite that's not American Idiot

Warning has made the biggest jump on my Green Day album power rankings. It's Top 3 for me at this point.

Been on a trilogy kick this week and yup just as good as I remember. I will go to the end of the earth to defend those as great albums.

Nuclear Family, Stay The Night, Lazy Bones, Stray Heart, X-Kid, A Little Boy Named Train? all literally top tier Green Day

6 out of 30 some songs. Great ratio.

did you want to list every good song from the trilogy?

I don’t think listing 5 songs is worthy of your time.

I don’t think most of the trilogy is even close to as offensively bad as almost all of FOAM, but there’s also nothing on it I would call even close to top tier Green Day. It’s just… fine lol

    Revolution Radio is way better

I mean, I guess this conversation has happened less than the "Get Hurt is good, actually" discussion in the Gaslight threads, but it's close!

Strongly recommend revisiting Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, and Nimrod.

Trilogy and FOAM defenders should join the New Again thread I suggested in the TBS thread a few hours ago lol

Are we getting a new album this year? They hyped it a year and a half ago and nothing came of it. They’ve just been headlining festivals and playing the hits with nothing new to speak of, save for the Nimrod anniversary.

I will stop defending the trilogy when Jason and others stop pretending there are literally zero good songs on it

I still think my Cuatro playlist rules.

By the same token, I enjoy my crafted playlist just as much as any of their other albums.

But then I've also been listening to my FOB b-sides playlist more than their new album, so maybe it's a pride thing as much as anything.
