Player's Log. Been a while since I updated, I think.

Super Mario 3D World. I'm about halfway through Castle World now, so a little more than halfway, if I remember right. Still just an excellent platformer. Getting all green stars but not worrying about stamps or gold flags. Looking forward to Bowser's Fury after this playthrough is done.

Ratchet & Clank (2016). Beat this game a couple weeks ago. I was very satisfied with my experience—really great combat and controls, and just a lot of fun to play. Nefarious was tricky in the best way. I'm at about 52% of the trophies, and it's a game I'd like to platinum, so I think I'll start by going back through and getting all the gold bolts and seeing where I stand then. Not a priority to platinum it just yet, but sooner than later, I think, or I'll forget. Where should I go next with R&C?

Destiny 2. Sank a couple more hours into this last night after a few weeks without playing. Still just in awe of how expansive and fun a game it is. Finally finished the New Light intro questline, so that's cool. My approach is probably going to be to alternate playlist stuff with campaigns, and I think I'll work my way through chronologically, so that means Shadowkeep is up. I feel like I'm getting a better handle on things; there's still a lot about the game I don't understand, but I'm getting there.

Need to make some time for Elden Ring, Skyrim, and The Alliance Alive this week—don't want too many things lingering by May 12.

Yeah I'm still working through Ryza 3 but not tryna start anything between now and May 12th, I'm a very slow gamer.

I did pick up the HD Grandia Collection because it was 50% off tho

Ooh I didn’t even know about that. Just snagged it; last day of the sale. I wish it had III, because that’s the one I’ve played (but never beaten), but this is still a great buy.

Yeah I don’t game nearly as much as other hobbies, so I try to be strategic about what games I’m playing so I don’t lose momentum…but there’s too much good stuff haha

 

I wish Ryza 3 grabbed me more than it did.

 

Done! Again! Two kind annoying achievements but otherwise fun and somewhat challenging. The final boss was cool and you can use it as a playable character.

 

The setting in Horizon to turn off item-pickup animation is so nice, every game should have that

 

I heard about this on a podcast and it was the first thing I did when I booted it up

 

I miiiight have grinded a bit too much, I beat the Act 3 boss of Loop Hero on my first try. Except for mud huts, all my structures are fully upgraded now, Alchemy was a huge help in doing so, I just wish it was an earlier unlock

 

Wow, during my first playthrough of BOTW, I died a million times to Waterblight and eventually gave up and came back later. This time I beat him first try and it felt.. easy? Even beat a lynel first try with only 4 hearts. Getting more and more excited for TOTK, glad I'm getting back into the swing of things.

 

Prepare to be terrified.

I beat Ghost of Tsushima last night. What a masterpiece and a true work of art. I completed everything on the map today and will start the DLC tomorrow. It’s tied with TLOU2 for my favorite PlayStation 4/5 game
