Just listened to the whole set all the way through and it definitely blows the first reunion shows out the window. You can tell that all three of them were having a blast and that their friendships are mended.

Quite the special set and a great way to open this new era for them.

 

Definitely like seeing touchy/feely Mark and Tom backstage before the set vs. Mark awkwardly calling for “Thomas” to come give him a hug in the blinkumentary clip.

So they start teasing new music today right? RIGHT?!

 

I want Blink to get my hopes up so badly

 

How good was Reckless Abandon though? Tom’s guitar tone was nailed on the head. That’s a first for that song.

Fuck buns when it’s all done.

 

I said this yesterday it’s silly not to start teasing at least. They had two top 10 trending videos on YouTube all weekend, streaming audiences grew significantly after the performance, lots of press attention, super positive reaction from the fan base. Let’s go!

 

Tripling/Quadrupling down on the 28th. Think they'll let people marinate with that Coachella set, then start teasing at the beginning of next week, single/album announcement end of next week, then press and whatnot the following week, leading into their show on Thursday.

 

Anyone else periodically refresh their website to see if it changes or anything?

 

I am hoping they start teasing it during this week and then do the album announcement/new single next week to then lead into the tour. Timing wise from my head seems logical if the album is nearing complete!

And even without the album announcement or new song, if Friday was any indication then the next few months of just tour videos is still going to be worth every second.

 

Missed opportunity if they don’t capitalize on this past weekend. Especially if it was a bigger deal than they imagined.

Tom reunites, album coming, single dropped, massive tour…..6 months of nothing then bam….surprise last minute Coachella performance that goes viral. Come oooonnnnn boys! Capitalize on this! Album update, new song, new merch….something other than a new Travis reality show or Monsters of California haha.

 

Drop the entire album out of the blue, cowards.

 

Something I sort of realized about "Edging" when they played it live - I really can't tell who spearheaded the writing of that song. That alone makes it feel so much more like classic blink than almost anything from the last reunion.

Even on songs like "All The Small Things" where you know Tom wrote most of it, there are still clearly elements of Mark's influence in there like the fact that he uses bass power chords on the chorus. Unlike songs like "Wishing Well" where Mark probably didn't even touch it. So just being more collaborative makes "Edging" fit right in during a classic set.

 

Yeah, that was definitely one of my major dislikes for Neighourhood's in general, it all felt very disconnected and you could tell that there wasn't anywhere near as much collaboration.

 

I’m waiting for the announcement to be made this week that they are going into the Rock ‘n Roll HOF and also playing at the next Superbowl Halftime show.

 

So what’s the theory on Terrified not being played?

Timing on set? Lack of practice? Thought they could’ve released it before the show?

 

Theory: It was never planned on being played and wasn't even on the blurry setlist.

 

Yeah, it was basically like showing one of those ink blot pictures to all of these blink fans - they saw what they wanted to see lol.

 

There was a clear picture of the setlist floating around on Reddit or Discord. "Terrified" was never on there

 

Until Jason starts posting suspicious GIF's, I'm not getting my hypes/hopes up.
