"Whimper" takes this record to another level. Man, that song is a behemoth.

 

The guitars are a huge highlight on this one. Reminds me of something Brand New would write.

 

I know I'll come to appreciate "Wrong" in time, but I just don't care much for it yet.

 

I don't think Wrong is near the top of my favorites on this record and I think it's because it's missing a lot of the guitar tone that I love from this band like on Whimper, Busy, or Dull (the chugs in that song sound so good)

 

The last half of this song hit me some sort of way while I was walking alone through New Haven a few weeks ago. Probably a moment I'll remember forever.

"If it was a movie, they would get the ending right and cleverly leave out all of the rest of our lives. It would zoom out: chain smoking blunts up in our house with junk food in our mouths, the kind of sleepless dreams that mark our evenings. Maybe I just missed it, I’ve been doing this forever and still everywhere I go is somewhere I don’t belong. But, maybe that’s just how it is that moving on means blending in and maybe now it’s fair to say that I had it all wrong. Yeah, I was wrong about everything."

 

Busy drown and vomit is such a great run of songs

 

I can't pick out a stand-out run of songs because this full album is great. I always try and say Lighterless-Drown is the best but then I want to include Vomit, which leads to including Whimper, which leads to Homebody, and by then I may as well just listen to the whole thing.

 

The stretch from Roaches to Wrong is my favorite

Sorry I like it all too but those three songs are my favorite. Just like I love goodness but two deliverances to grandmother gets me every time

 

Man, I didn't really dig Stovall much at all, but this. This is the good stuff.

I loved Stovall but I agree this is a big improvement.

 

Just got the white splatter vinyl and a tshirt that says microwave a dozen times down the chest... I wish this band had a better name

 

I love their name but it doesn't translate well into shirts lol

 

Doesn't work well with youtube searches either. All I find is kids blowing stuff up in microwaves lol.

Finally picked the vinyl up and pre-ordered the new Jeff Rosenstock album too.

When the full band comes in on Neighbors, I can't restrain myself from absolutely losing my shit.
