That Linkin Park was good! Great live, hopefully tour UK soon. Not sure my hometown Glasgow was that well attended last time, so not sure i'll see em for a while.

Saw them last night for the first time since 2017. They still put on a fucking show. The One Step Closer cover was sick, but I do wish they played a bit more off of Wind Shifts/Dead Reflection. Also no Smashed Into Pieces felt weird.

Man, "A Beautiful Place to Drown" and "Misery Made Me" are both just absolute rippers. Amazing records.

I personally thought A Beautiful Place to Drown was pretty mid outside a few tracks but Misery Made Me was solid (if you ignore the bonus tracks)

Silverstein is one of my favorite bands, but I’ve been pretty lukewarm on the last two albums outside of a few tracks. I know that’s an unpopular opinion, but I’ve been disinterested after loving Dead Reflection. I don’t know what it is, but a lot of the last two albums just sounds overproduced and generic metalcore. I’m still happy they are doing very well drawing wise and touring constantly. Band is full of great people and deserves all of the success in the world.

I think Dead Reflection is their best record so I echo this sentiment to a degree. I still enjoy most of Misery Made Me, however, I would prefer a return to that (DR) sound… but it ain’t happening lol

Man I'm the complete opposite. I kind of fell off around Dead Reflection but the last two I think are two of their best

Agree, I think Dead Reflection is probably my least favorite Silverstein record, I think it just sounds like the band phoning it in. The last two records I return to over and over. Just great stuff there.

Silverstein is funny like that. I definitely have points where I’ve fallen off a bit and they always bring me back in. I loved the first 4 albums, didn’t like Rescue, adore TOHTWS, underwhelmed by I am Alive, Dead Reflection ruled and last two are not my favorites. Regardless I always enjoy a few songs off of everything and they still sound great live.

Count me amongst the DR-is-top-tier-Silverstein crowd. I liked each of the last couple releases enough but find them largely forgettable. I enjoy them as I’m listening to them, I think they got away with trying and executing some cool new things, but I think a fair amount of it, especially the singles, are now pretty far removed from the magic of their earlier material (which is not unique to Silverstein of course).

To their credit though, I’m not sure I can name a band that better managed their transition to a broader audience. ABPTD was a bit of a rougher landing (and they have their fair share of bad stinkers) but the band had largely already prepped us for it by getting poppier leading up to it. Still remember being blown away the first time I heard Ghost while also recognizing that we were definitely entering a new era soon.

Really like Bad Habits and Don't Wait Up, but their last two albums are way too trendy for me. They went from the trademark Silverstein sound to sounding like every other band in the genre imo.

This untitled track is much better than It's Over and Bankrupt, should have made the album.
