Goosebumps the entire set… chemistry is back… Tom blew me away… energy and just pure joy from them just took me back to the old days…. No Scrubs… you will be fine you fucking asshole… and the Dalai Lama. Just perfection.

If it's the person I think is being referred to, it's his long-term drum tech. Usually a bit more hidden, but is usually there incase any issues. You can see him near the start doing some hand signals for something to the side of the stage for some sort of issue.

 

Yup he was their for the majority of the set. Then fairly sure Travis son (Landon) sat their for a song or two.

 

That was the best pro shot live concert I've seen in a minute. Crazy that the backstage was shown as well. What an enjoyable watch.

 

Just finished watching it. What a great set. This is the best they have sounded in years. Skiba is obviously a much better singer but the guitar is sounding much better with Tom, and the auto tune helps.

I could nitpick some things like no BTD or their lack of some additional musicians but overall it was so good.

(except for the cancellation joke but Mark shut that out pretty quickly)

I'll admit to not being a die-hard but it got incredibly annoying that after every song Mark was being a great front man and Tom would just yell gibberish over him. I feel like it used to be more back-and-forth, no?

 

I’m just starting the show…I know it ain’t live, but I feel it. Little more emotional than I thought I’d be seeing these 3 on stage.

 

Holy shit, this is the best they've sounded in 20 years. Made me more excited to see them in September.

Plus, I'll take a little pitch correction over terrible singing any day.

They also truly seemed like friends in the video before the show and during the show. I loved to see it, big grin on my face

 

I think they need to find their banter Legs, but I’m glad Tom is back to being his immature self, he wasn’t doing this as much during neighborhoods era

 

I’m finding myself attracted to Tom again.

 

Tom definitely seems like he’s releasing years of pent up banter.. absolutely love the 3 or 4 times where he absolutely cracks Mark.

 

This was the best I’ve heard them sound in forever. Their Reading set from whenever that was is awful in comparison imo.

Really raises expectations for the tour!

Also re dead crowds, welcome to Coachella. There’s probably a bunch of reasons, but a big one is you can only drink in designated areas. I’d be interested to hear what a Coachella veteran thinks, but as a UK person who only went once, that was definitely my takeaway. Oh and the fucking dust. And the absurd heat.
