If I could just forget it

Check craigslist/marketplace. We found a BOB for a steal that is several years old but still works flawlessly.

We took my almost 4 year old to the grocery store for the first time tonight. It was hilarious and adorable. He pointed at and shouted out every single product he saw and walked by and he gasped and/or said woah a few times lol

Feel this in my soul. Day two was better but I’m not sure if it is working, or the effects of last night caught up to him finally

We decided to start the same day of his 6 month vaccines figuring he’d already be so exhausted nothing would matter. Sound logic. Poor execution lol

  10. I don't miss any of that. My son still will get up at like 6 in the morning which is early but he will grab the iPad and play Roblox for an hour until I get up which is nice lol.

little bug is a month old (and two days). she rocks so much. she was 3 1/2 weeks early so she's just now kind of reaching average birth weights (when we left the hospital, she was 5 lbs 9oz lol) but it feels like she's growing every day at this point

Both my kids have Strep Throat for the 900th time.

They both just had it two months ago.

    Unreal.

So we just had our 20 week anatomy scan and I need talking off a cliff because I’m a mess right now.

doctor said the baby is measuring 2 weeks undersize. We’re coming back in 3 weeks for another scan but idk. I’m terrified now and just fearful of worst case scenarios.

Get used to this feeling lol.

I'll tell you what my mom told me, that I always enjoyed. Kinda like the "look at stewardesses on a plane" thing. The amount of money and training going into pre-natal care is absurd in a good way. There's very little they haven't seen and sorted out before. Hope the next scan goes better for you all, keep your head up in the meantime.

I just feel like the doctors didn’t give me anything to even go on. Like I can’t tell how big of an issue this is because they weren’t really saying. I don’t know. I’m just so defeated today.

Ugh, that's the worst. Milo fell off the weight scale and our first doctor said he was really worried about it and stuff, but like, wouldn't talk to us like Milo was a person. It was super frustrating. We wound up seeing a specialist and switching Milo's PCP

I've found you really have to push back and advocate for kid stuff. Pediatricians and their ilk are so fast in and out the door, like they're constantly speeding off to the next thing. My wife definitely had to put her foot down a few times, and it's caused us to switch doctors a few times.

Same. We had to be like “Talk about this specific child here for 1 minute please” because our first PCP was so general and vague with everything

There is no shame in calling the office and asking the doctor to provide more context and detail to you so you can better understand what they mean or what they’re saying.

I have done it plenty of times.
