going/playing it the first time this upcoming October. couldn't be more excited tbh, seems like this is a sick fucking fest environment i've always wanted to go check out and also have never really spent time in florida!

  2. One week til the lineup drop for 21! What are y’all hoping for/thinking we’ll get?

Missed out last year and can’t wait to head back this year.

I’m putting a BMTI reunion into the universe. Would be happy with any Jeff project tho!

Also interesting that LJG is playing Gainesville the day before they announce the lineup…

I know Strike Anywhere is playing and I assume Laura is playing since she is putting a full touring band together for her solo project. I’ll assume No Trigger and Teenage Bottlerocket are playing. I’d also guess Elway is playing this year since they couldn’t play last year bc of Joe’s wedding. I’m sure OWTH has an offer to do Home in full, but whether Ryan agrees to do it is another question.

Hoping Flatliners return again this year and would love to see Big D play

BTMI or Fake Problems reunions would be top tier but I don’t think will happen

Drug Church & Militarie Gun on the hardcore side would be awesome too

And always hoping for Nil and Pkew

I think Anxious and One Step Closer are possible since both are playing Pouzza.

Well, if Strike Anywhere is confirmed I am already there. Anxious and One Step Closer would also be very welcomed. Be Well I would like to see and with The Hotelier being active again, I would probably be first in line for their set if they played again.

Saw some activity in this thread and got my hopes up that there was a leak! All the suggestions/speculations above sound good and possible to me with exception to Teenage Bottlerocket, they were dropped from FEST lineup a couple years ago after the allegations against Ray came out, so I don't see them being invited back. Selfishly, I'd like to see Cobra Skulls back since I didn't get to see them last year. A few others that seem like good bets are A Wilhelm Scream since they took last year off, Direct Hit! they haven't played in a few years are working on new material, The Brokedowns put out a new album this year. I'd love for Alkaline Trio to be a headliner, but probably a longshot...same with D4, this could be Propagandhi headline year seems we are about due for one.

Direct Hit is def possible (if not likely). They are playing here in Chicago. And you could probably swap Bottlerocket for The Lillingtons. Cody hasn’t been blacklisted and TBR are playing shows again, which was why I brought it up.

I missed Fest 19 which was pretty much tailormade for my likes, I wouldn't mind a majority of that lineup again.

Some of my favorite Fest sets ever were from last year, but I will be honest, it was on the weaker side for me as far as lineups go, especially for a 20 year anniversary.

Iirc they were supposed to play Brainless God at Fest a year or two ago and had to drop bc Nick’s kid is immunocompromised.

now that they’re playing shows again and it’s ACTUALLY the 10 year anniversary of Brainless God I would not be surprised if they played it.

I missed their set the last time they played Fest, so I am hoping Captain, We're Sinking are on this.

Saetia & Thursday are posting teases for Florida shows. I think we can count them in.

Not as into it as last years lineup but definitely a great lineup with a bunch of bucket list bands for me

Yea, this is a weaker lineup for me, still going and still going to have a great time.

Any advice for a new Fester? Is it worth booking our hotel though the fest?

Yes, I would do the Holiday Inn or the Aloft (new downtown hotel, I think). The Hampton is cool, but they aren't involved with the fest so their prices are pretty insane for what the hotel actually is. I have friends that have done the same Air BnB's over the years that have really good location, but I feel like most BnB's don't have the same convenience as other options. To me, that Fest is the best when you are just walking everywhere. They got rid of the best hotel if you were the party type. The festival is older and less party late now, so I would rather just be closer to downtown and have access to nightlife and food.

Looks like this year Hampton is actually part of the fest hotels, which could be a gamechanger

Wow. About time they just accepted their fate with their location haha.

Just going to echo was said earlier, but the hotel options are probably the best and preferably within walking distance to downtown area. I personally wouldn't stay any further out than the Holiday Inn, which is about a 20 min walk to majority of the venues. Hampton is definitely ideal because it is situated in the heart of downtown and eliminates the walking. Last year we did the new Hyatt which is also right in the heart of the action and because it was a new hotel that wasn't aware of FEST we got a good deal. They've wised up for this year so it won't be cheap, but once you spoil yourself it is really hard to go back to that 20 min walk to the Holiday Inn. Convenience factor of being able to drop off merch, hit up the bathroom, grab drinks/food, or if you just want to take a break is really hard to put a price tag after having it last year.

Yeah staying at the Wyndham was a pain as far as distance, especially once the shuttle stopped. But we parked the rental car downtown the whole weekend to make our locker for merch etc which was key lol

Ohh Hyatt is the one I was probably thinking of, not Aloft. Is the Hyatt the one that is basically over by the Hampton?
