* The Penguins will clinch a playoff berth if they defeat the New York Islanders in any fashion OR if the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in any fashion OR if the Penguins get one point against the Islanders AND the Red Wings defeat the Maple Leafs in a shootout

* The Rangers will clinch a playoff berth if they defeat the Sabres in regulation or overtime OR if they defeat the Sabres in a shootout AND the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in any fashion OR if they get one point against the Sabres AND the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in regulation.

* The Panthers will clinch a playoff berth if they defeat the Canadiens in any fashion AND the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in any fashion OR if they get one point against the Canadiens AND the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in regulation.

* The Lightning will clinch a playoff berth if they defeat the Devils in any fashion AND the Red Wings lose to the Maple Leafs in regulation.

Hoping for Pens and Wings wins today to benefit the Leafs in all forms.

 

That series would be fun as hell.

Also, I disagree with the odds ANA has over SJS. I think they win but SJS could pull an upset.

 

All of those Western Conference match ups would be fun

 

1. We're going to lose to whoever we play in the first round regardless of who we play.
2. How is LA going to play Minny? I doubt they pass DAL/STL for #1 in west. However, that DAL/NSH matchup would be real fun and I would think Nashville wins.

 

Honestly any of these western conference series could go either way.

 

I guess he's assuming MIN overtakes NSH in the wild card. 4 points back it's unlikely but LAK/NSH would be a great first round matchup. The west always has more fun in the postseason.

Rinne career save percentage versus the Sharks is around a .945% so I guess I wasn't actual being crazy when I said Rinne is a Sharks killer.

I'm actually hyped for Reimer to play again since he has been really solid with us.

 

Though my Blackhawks aren't the same this year, I hope they at least can make it out of the first round of the playoffs this year

 

If the Oilers get the first pick again, the NHL should force them to shutter the franchise, sell it, or forfeit the top pick. The leagues best young talent wallowing in that shithole of misery shouldn't be allowed.

Brutal officiating in the Kings game today. 3 missed high sticks in front of the refs including one that almost took out McNabb's eye, a phantom high stick on Doughty, and play blown down for too many men but no penalty called.

The Stars scored the game winning goal when they should've been killing a 4 minute penalty. Really wish the league was more transparent about what happens to refs after games like this.

 

This is a nightmare.

 

I'm just glad that I can't even get upset at this point. So numb to this fucking shit.
