Also, got my “Northside” vinyl variant today and it might be one of the coolest looking records I own! Wasn’t sure what to really expect based on the mock up, but it is so cool!

post pics! it's not on Discogs yet, so it'd be cool to see.

I just finished another listen while I was attempting to trim my overgrown beard into a Kratos beard at home (do not recommend, go to a barber) and this album isn't back-loaded, it's just absolutely loaded. Every single song is phenomenal, and it just flows so gloriously as an album.

I felt that way for a month and a half but it really grows on you.

Really enjoy this. It's not hitting me nearly as hard as the first two did on first ~10ish listens. Then again, Dying Star was one of the most immediate records from the last 5 years for me. That thing absolutely walloped me right away.

Breakdown is the one. Hope they promote the hell out of it.

Yeah. Have no idea why this wasn’t a single. Chose some really strange tracks to highlight imo

I can hear Cold Black Mile leading into Brave on tour and if that happens I will cease to exist.

From the redacted setlist he teased on Instagram, I think it's going to be Cold Black Mile --> St. Jupiter to open the show.

I think it's going to be a really cathartic way to start a set!

Wish he had a headlining date in/near MA, but I’m looking forward to seeing him open for Noah Kahan in September. Outdoor venue, end of summer- gonna be a good one!

really hard to get a good pic lol but here ya go! It’s sort of blueish purple in the shadows and I guess like a smoky clear in the light. I think it’s sort of the iridescent style that I’ve seen pics of for other releases but this is the first I’ve seen in person.

    Oh wow

  21. It's so baffling to me that he's doing that run as an opener so soon into what looks to be a big album cycle for him. He's also only coming here on the Kahan tour

  22. there's probably a proximity clause in effect for some dates on that run

  23. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

The Noah Kahan venues are MASSIVE for someone like Ruston. It's going to be great exposure to set up either a fall or winter headliner.

  24. I’m sure. What’s baffling to me is that he’s doing the opening run at all less than 6 months after his record comes out

Idk, maybe it’s different wherever you’re from but I’ve never been to one of those big summer amphitheater shows and seen more than a couple hundred people show up for the opener. I’m sure it’s solid money for Ruston and I certainly don’t begrudge him that tho!

maybe I’m just grumpy and old bc Noah Kahan blew up on TikTok and I’m not a big fan lol

Has a release date or timeframe been announced for the deluxe? Been waiting years to hear that song.
