Same here in Florida. I'm an hour south of Jacksonville so that's not a bad drive. But Tampa is 3 hours away and West Palm down to Miami can be 4-6 depending on I-95 traffic.

Yep, I feel this. I missed dozens of tours over the years because the bands I really loved were not something my friends were really willing to travel for, or they'd drag their feet and not have money to go. I'd psych myself out about driving to a big city alone and just not go. Eventually I just forced myself to do it, and I'm glad I did.

Nowadays, my girlfriend wants to go to most anything I'm interested in, and my friends are in more stable financial positions and are more apt to go, too, so it's the best of both worlds.

I feel like such an oddball, I've been going to shows alone since my teenage years and never looked back. If a friend is super into the band and/or my wife really likes them, obviously I bring them along but definitely don't want me times ruined by a casual listener that I have to worry about if they're having fun or not.

I don't mind the process of going to the show itself alone at all. In fact, I enjoy it. For me, it was anxiety about driving alone in big cities/places I wasn't familiar with.

Same thing with going to the movies alone. I have friends who couldn't fathom the idea of sitting in a theater alone. It's genuinely one of my favorite activities. Few things are more relaxing to me.

I feel this in my bones. I'm in a big city and have no problem if my gf wants to tag along but I prefer going alone. I like being able to find a spot, move if I need to, go get a drink without having someone save my spot (or vice versa, the worst), leave early and I don't have to worry about THEM having a good time. I can just get my whiskey ginger, stand on the rail and vibe.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

When I lived in my hometown I’d have to drive 40-90 minutes for shows. It sucked though because the closest towns that had shows were B/C markets, so I know what it felt like to be skipped…

And yeah I’d say 80% of the shows I attend are by myself and the other 20% are with my fiancé. I rarely go to shows with friends because my friends don’t even know or like the band I wanna see, or they’re just not down to put the money/time down for a show.

As much as I like the freedom of going to a show by myself, sometimes doing it kinda sucks

Yeah I certainly don't mind going to shows alone. Especially when it's a GA show and I can just move around as I please.

When I go alone I try to time my arrival to be just before the main act starts. When I get there early it does feel a bit awkward.

I just found out I'm now going to Nothing Nowhere tonight by myself & I got so fucking excited that I get to enjoy the show & not play catch up or entertain anyone  LOVE going to shows with friends, but equally love going alone

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I hate to be all "I used to walk 15 miles in the snow to shows" but I'm used to driving a minimum of an hour for any show I want to go to and I'm literally moving next month to Metro Detroit so I can get it down to 30 minutes lmao

Seeing State Champs name on a couple Is For Lovers lineup posters makes me just wonder more where The Finer Things 10 year tour is. Also Champs / KennyHoopla would make a great lineup for that tour.

I don't mind going to some shows alone. The drives suck when its far especially on the late night drives home back to ME from Boston/Cambridge. Portland shows are a blessing for me. The worst part of going alone, at least for a shy person like me, is the down time between sets where I'm anxiously just standing there scrolling through chorus or twitter.

Bad Omens sold out Terminal 5, the 3000 cap venue in New York, in one week.

Never want to see a small font joke ever again.

$94 is actually a pretty good value for all of those bands. The lineup is quite stacked. Cheaper than good tickets to Sad Summer/AAR lol

Yeah I’d pay $94 for that lineup easily lol
